Enable clippy::unnecessary_filter_map (#8738)

This PR enables the
[`clippy::unnecessary_filter_map`](https://rust-lang.github.io/rust-clippy/master/index.html#/unnecessary_filter_map)
rule and fixes the outstanding violations.
