Add GPU info to Sentry crashes (#36624)
Closes #ISSUE

Adds system GPU collection to crash reporting. Currently this is Linux
only.

The system GPUs are determined by reading the `/sys/class/drm` directory
structure, rather than using the exisiting `gpui::Window::gpu_specs()`
method in order to gather more information, and so that the GPU context
is not dependent on Vulkan context initialization (i.e. we still get GPU
info when Zed fails to start because Vulkan failed to initialize).

Unfortunately, the `blade` APIs do not support querying which GPU _will_
be used, so we do not know which GPU was attempted to be used when
Vulkan context initialization fails, however, when Vulkan initialization
succeeds, we send a message to the crash handler containing the result
of `gpui::Window::gpu_specs()` to include the "Active" gpu in any crash
report that may occur

Fix clippy::redundant_clone lint violations (#36558)
This removes around 900 unnecessary clones, ranging from cloning a few
ints all the way to large data structures and images.

A lot of these were fixed using `cargo clippy --fix --workspace
--all-targets`, however it often breaks other lints and needs to be run
again. This was then followed up with some manual fixing.

I understand this is a large diff, but all the changes are pretty
trivial. Rust is doing some heavy lifting here for us. Once I get it up
to speed with main, I'd appreciate this getting merged rather sooner
than later.

gpui: Store action documentation (#33809)
Closes #ISSUE

Adds a new `documentation` method to actions, that is extracted from doc
comments when using the `actions!` or derive macros.

Additionally, this PR adds doc comments to as many action definitions in
Zed as possible.

Improve FreeBSD support (#33162)
This PR contains a set of changes for improving FreeBSD support (#15309,
#29550) and is a kind of follow up to the PR #20480 which added an
initial support for FreeBSD.

A summary of changes is as follows:
- Add some more freebsd conditionals which seem missing in the previous
PR.
- Implement `anonymous_fd()` and `current_path()` functions for FreeBSD.
- Improve detection of FreeBSD in telemetry and GPU detection.
- Temporarily disable LiveKit/WebRTC support to make build succeed.
- Remove support for flatpak since it is Linux-only packaging format.

Adding `RUSTFLAGS="-C link-dead-code"` does not seem necessary anymore.
It builds fine without the flag.

Known issues:
- Integrated terminal is painfully laggy and virtually unusable in my
environment. This might be specific to my setup.
- I cannot input Japanese using IME. When I type characters, they appear
on the screen. But when I hit return key, they disappears. Seems the
same issue as #15409.

My environment is MATE desktop on X11 on FreeBSD 14.2 on Intel Core
i5-7260U integrated graphics.

P.S. For those who might be interested, a work-in-progress FreeBSD port
and binary packages are available at
https://github.com/tagattie/FreeBSD-Zed

feedback: Update issue template URL (#28790)
Closes #28782

The linked template path was updated in #28250. This PR also adds the
change to the zed action.

Since the issue template link was also referenced in workspace, I
updated that occurrence to use the `FileBugReport` action instead. For
that, I had to move the action to `zed_actions`. However, with this
change only one link has to be updated and any database related errors
will have the zed version specs attached to them automatically.

Release Notes:

- Fixed an issue where the `file bug report` action would redirect to an
outdated URL.

Add workspace-hack (#27277)
This adds a "workspace-hack" crate, see
[mozilla's](https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/3a265fdc9f33e5946f0ca0a04af73acd7e6d1a39/build/workspace-hack/Cargo.toml#l7)
for a concise explanation of why this is useful. For us in practice this
means that if I were to run all the tests (`cargo nextest r
--workspace`) and then `cargo r`, all the deps from the previous cargo
command will be reused. Before this PR it would rebuild many deps due to
resolving different sets of features for them. For me this frequently
caused long rebuilds when things "should" already be cached.

To avoid manually maintaining our workspace-hack crate, we will use
[cargo hakari](https://docs.rs/cargo-hakari) to update the build files
when there's a necessary change. I've added a step to CI that checks
whether the workspace-hack crate is up to date, and instructs you to
re-run `script/update-workspace-hack` when it fails.

Finally, to make sure that people can still depend on crates in our
workspace without pulling in all the workspace deps, we use a `[patch]`
section following [hakari's
instructions](https://docs.rs/cargo-hakari/0.9.36/cargo_hakari/patch_directive/index.html)

One possible followup task would be making guppy use our
`rust-toolchain.toml` instead of having to duplicate that list in its
config, I opened an issue for that upstream: guppy-rs/guppy#481.

TODO:
- [x] Fix the extension test failure
- [x] Ensure the dev dependencies aren't being unified by Hakari into
the main dependencies
- [x] Ensure that the remote-server binary continues to not depend on
LibSSL

Eliminate GPUI View, ViewContext, and WindowContext types (#22632)
There's still a bit more work to do on this, but this PR is compiling
(with warnings) after eliminating the key types. When the tasks below
are complete, this will be the new narrative for GPUI:

- `Entity<T>` - This replaces `View<T>`/`Model<T>`. It represents a unit
of state, and if `T` implements `Render`, then `Entity<T>` implements
`Element`.
- `&mut App` This replaces `AppContext` and represents the app.
- `&mut Context<T>` This replaces `ModelContext` and derefs to `App`. It
is provided by the framework when updating an entity.
- `&mut Window` Broken out of `&mut WindowContext` which no longer
exists. Every method that once took `&mut WindowContext` now takes `&mut
Window, &mut App` and every method that took `&mut ViewContext<T>` now
takes `&mut Window, &mut Context<T>`

Not pictured here are the two other failed attempts. It's been quite a
month!

Tasks:

- [x] Remove `View`, `ViewContext`, `WindowContext` and thread through
`Window`
- [x] [@cole-miller @mikayla-maki] Redraw window when entities change
- [x] [@cole-miller @mikayla-maki] Get examples and Zed running
- [x] [@cole-miller @mikayla-maki] Fix Zed rendering
- [x] [@mikayla-maki] Fix todo! macros and comments
- [x] Fix a bug where the editor would not be redrawn because of view

- [x] remove `observe_new_window_models`, replace with
`observe_new_models` with an optional window
- [x] Fix a bug where the project panel would not be redrawn because of
the wrong refresh() call being used
- [x] Fix the tests
- [x] Fix warnings by eliminating `Window` params or using `_`
- [x] Fix conflicts
- [x] Simplify generic code where possible
- [x] Rename types
- [ ] Update docs

inline completions: Add action to toggle inline completions (#16947)
This adds a new action: `editor: toggle inline completions`.

It allows users to toggle inline completions on/off for the current
buffer.

That toggling is not persistent and when the editor is closed, it's
gone.

That makes it easy to disable inline completions for a single text
buffer, for example, even if you want them on for other buffers.

When toggling on/off, the toggling also overwrites any language
settings. So if you have inline completions disabled for Go buffers,
toggling them on takes precedence over those settings.

Release Notes:

- Added a new editor action to allow toggling inline completions
(Copilot, Supermaven) on and off for the current buffer, taking
precedence over any settings.

Make border methods always require an explicit width (#11450)
This PR makes the `border` methods require an explicit width instead of
defaulting to 1px.

This breaks convention with Tailwind, but it makes GPUI more consistent
with itself. We already have an edge case where the parameterized method
had to be named `border_width`, since `border` was taken up by an alias
for the 1px variant.

### Before

    .border()
    .border_t()
    .border_r()
    .border_b()
    .border_l()
    .border_width(px(7.))

Refactor workspace notifications to use explicit NotificationId type (#10342)
This PR reworks the way workspace notifications are identified to use a
new `NotificationId` type.

A `NotificationId` is bound to a given type that is used as a unique
identifier. Generally this will be a unit struct that can be used to
uniquely identify this notification.

A `NotificationId` can also accept an optional `ElementId` in order to
distinguish between different notifications of the same type.

This system avoids the issue we had previously of selecting `usize` IDs
somewhat arbitrarily and running the risk of having two independent
notifications collide (and thus interfere with each other).

This also fixes a bug where multiple suggestion notifications for the
same extension could be live at once

Fixes https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/issues/10320.

Release Notes:

- Fixed a bug where multiple extension suggestions for the same
extension could be shown at once
([#10320](https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/issues/10320)).

Introduce InlineCompletionProvider (#9777)
This pull request introduces a new `InlineCompletionProvider` trait,
which enables making `Editor` copilot-agnostic and lets us push all the
copilot functionality into the `copilot_ui` module. Long-term, I would
like to merge `copilot` and `copilot_ui`, but right now `project`
depends on `copilot`, which makes this impossible.

The reason for adding this new trait is so that we can experiment with
other inline completion providers and swap them at runtime using config
settings.

Please, note also that we renamed some of the existing copilot actions
to be more agnostic (see release notes below). We still kept the old
actions bound for backwards-compatibility, but we should probably remove
them at some later version.

Also, as a drive-by, we added new methods to the `Global` trait that let
you read or mutate a global directly, e.g.:

```rs
MyGlobal::update(cx, |global, cx| {
});
```

Release Notes:

- Renamed the `copilot::Suggest` action to
`editor::ShowInlineCompletion`
- Renamed the `copilot::NextSuggestion` action to
`editor::NextInlineCompletion`
- Renamed the `copilot::PreviousSuggestion` action to
`editor::PreviousInlineCompletion`
- Renamed the `editor::AcceptPartialCopilotSuggestion` action to
`editor::AcceptPartialInlineCompletion`
