- Added settings status_bar.show_active_language_button to show/hide the
language button in the status bar.
The motivation for this is visual, I have had zero issues with its
functionality.
The language switcher can still be accessed by the command palette,
menu, or a keyboard shortcut.

This is my first Zed and first Rust PR, so criticism is very welcome.
I know there has been discussion around how the status bar settings are
structured and named, and I am happy to change it to whatever is best. I
was also not sure what order to put it in in the settings default.json.
Feedback welcome.

This PR changes the signature of `language_names` from
```rust
pub fn language_names(&self) -> Vec<String>
// Into
pub fn language_names(&self) -> Vec<LanguageName>
```
The function previously eagerly converted `LanguageName`'s to
`String`'s, which requires the reallocation of all of the elements. The
functions get called in many places in the code base, but only one of
which actually requires the conversion to a `String`. In one case it
would do a `SharedString` -> `String` -> `SharedString` conversion,
which is now totally bypassed.

Adds a new `documentation` method to actions, that is extracted from doc
comments when using the `actions!` or derive macros.
Additionally, this PR adds doc comments to as many action definitions in
Zed as possible.

https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/issues/30972 brought up another
case where our context is not enough to track the actual source of the
issue: we get a general top-level error without inner error.
The reason for this was `.ok_or_else(|| anyhow!("failed to read HEAD
SHA"))?; ` on the top level.
The PR finally reworks the way we use anyhow to reduce such issues (or
at least make it simpler to bubble them up later in a fix).
On top of that, uses a few more anyhow methods for better readability.
* `.ok_or_else(|| anyhow!("..."))`, `map_err` and other similar error
conversion/option reporting cases are replaced with `context` and
`with_context` calls
* in addition to that, various `anyhow!("failed to do ...")` are
stripped with `.context("Doing ...")` messages instead to remove the
parasitic `failed to` text
* `anyhow::ensure!` is used instead of `if ... { return Err(...); }`
calls
* `anyhow::bail!` is used instead of `return Err(anyhow!(...));`

This adds a "workspace-hack" crate, see
[mozilla's](https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/3a265fdc9f33e5946f0ca0a04af73acd7e6d1a39/build/workspace-hack/Cargo.toml#l7)
for a concise explanation of why this is useful. For us in practice this
means that if I were to run all the tests (`cargo nextest r
--workspace`) and then `cargo r`, all the deps from the previous cargo
command will be reused. Before this PR it would rebuild many deps due to
resolving different sets of features for them. For me this frequently
caused long rebuilds when things "should" already be cached.
To avoid manually maintaining our workspace-hack crate, we will use
[cargo hakari](https://docs.rs/cargo-hakari) to update the build files
when there's a necessary change. I've added a step to CI that checks
whether the workspace-hack crate is up to date, and instructs you to
re-run `script/update-workspace-hack` when it fails.
Finally, to make sure that people can still depend on crates in our
workspace without pulling in all the workspace deps, we use a `[patch]`
section following [hakari's
instructions](https://docs.rs/cargo-hakari/0.9.36/cargo_hakari/patch_directive/index.html)
One possible followup task would be making guppy use our
`rust-toolchain.toml` instead of having to duplicate that list in its
config, I opened an issue for that upstream: guppy-rs/guppy#481.

This PR fixes a rare case where icons could be missing in the language
selector.
Currently, whilst looking up an icon, all file suffixes starting with a
dot are filtered out. While this works fine for some languages, there
are some languages having only file suffixes starting with a dot, e.g.
the "Git Attributes" language provided from the "Git Firefly" extension.
This results in no icon being displayed in the list, as shown in the
screenshots below.
To solve this, we can just simply remove the check for this special case
as well as the construction of an artificial file name in the code, as
both are not needed. A simple path just consisting of the extension is
sufficient, as we currently do not differentiate between file names and
file suffixes during an icon lookup. see the relevant code below:

As the first lookup is directly done using the entire file name and then
checked against all suffixes, we actually do not have to construct an
artificial file name at all. Should that produce no match, we check for
a hidden file right after, so we do not have to filter hidden file names
out.
With this fix, nothing changes for "normal" file suffixes, for some
cases where languges provide entire file names as a path suffix, the
matching might improve, and for languages with only hidden associated
file names, the initially described issue is resolved.
I do believe the behavior of matching icons to languages could be
improved in general. Fowever, I do think this is beyond the scope of
this change.

Aditionally, in 4395f78fb2 I refactored
the code which acquires the label and icon for a match, since I found it
a bit hard to read initially. The majority of this diff comes from this
change. Should that not be wanted, I can revert that change.

language selector.
There's still a bit more work to do on this, but this PR is compiling
(with warnings) after eliminating the key types. When the tasks below
are complete, this will be the new narrative for GPUI:
- `Entity<T>` - This replaces `View<T>`/`Model<T>`. It represents a unit
of state, and if `T` implements `Render`, then `Entity<T>` implements
`Element`.
- `&mut App` This replaces `AppContext` and represents the app.
- `&mut Context<T>` This replaces `ModelContext` and derefs to `App`. It
is provided by the framework when updating an entity.
- `&mut Window` Broken out of `&mut WindowContext` which no longer
exists. Every method that once took `&mut WindowContext` now takes `&mut
Window, &mut App` and every method that took `&mut ViewContext<T>` now
takes `&mut Window, &mut Context<T>`
Not pictured here are the two other failed attempts. It's been quite a
month!

- Adds the Switch component
- Updates `Selected`, `Selectable` -> `ToggleState`, `Toggleable`
- Adds `checkbox` and `switch` functions to align better with other
elements in our layout system.
We decided not to merge Switch and Checkbox. However, in a followup I'll
introduce a Toggle or AnyToggle enum so we can update
`CheckboxWithLabel` -> `ToggleWithLabel` as this component will work
exactly the same with either a Checkbox or a Switch.

Due to filtering after enumeration, initial candidate ids are assigned
incorrectly. This later causes the wrong item to be picked up when
accessed via index in the vector.

This is a first attempt to show the language icons to the selector.
Ideally, I wouldn't like to have yet another place mapping extensions to
icons, as we already have the `file_types.json` file doing that, but I'm
not so sure how to pull from it yet. Maybe in a future pass we'll
improve this and make it more solid.

This PR moves the Clippy configuration up to the workspace level.
We're using the [`lints`
table](https://doc.rust-lang.org/cargo/reference/workspaces.html#the-lints-table)
to configure the Clippy ruleset in the workspace's `Cargo.toml`.
Each crate in the workspace now has the following in their own
`Cargo.toml` to inherit the lints from the workspace:

This allows for configuring rust-analyzer to show Clippy lints in the
editor by using the following configuration in your Zed `settings.json`:

This PR renames the `h_stack` and `v_stack` to `h_flex` and `v_flex`,
respectively.
We were previously using `h_stack` and `v_stack` to match SwiftUI, but
`h_flex` and `v_flex` fit better with the web/flexbox terminology that
the rest of GPUI uses.
Additionally, we were already calling the utility functions used to
implement `h_stack` and `v_stack` by the new names.
