We also change the structure of the settings ui macro. The trait is
still a requirement on the Settings trait implementation, but it returns
a SettingUIItemVariant now, which the settings ui crate will take
adventage of to generate UI
This allows us to get around circular dependency errors and still get
the type system to ensure all settings fulfill the settings UI crate

This PR complements a feature added earlier by @JosephTLyons (in
https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/pull/32353) where the text is
considered as the tab title in a new buffer. It piggybacks off that
change and sets the title as the suggested filename in the save dialog
(completely mirroring the same functionality in VSCode):

case where our context is not enough to track the actual source of the
issue: we get a general top-level error without inner error.
The reason for this was `.ok_or_else(|| anyhow!("failed to read HEAD
SHA"))?; ` on the top level.
The PR finally reworks the way we use anyhow to reduce such issues (or
at least make it simpler to bubble them up later in a fix).
On top of that, uses a few more anyhow methods for better readability.
* `.ok_or_else(|| anyhow!("..."))`, `map_err` and other similar error
conversion/option reporting cases are replaced with `context` and
`with_context` calls
* in addition to that, various `anyhow!("failed to do ...")` are
stripped with `.context("Doing ...")` messages instead to remove the
parasitic `failed to` text
* `anyhow::ensure!` is used instead of `if ... { return Err(...); }`
calls
* `anyhow::bail!` is used instead of `return Err(anyhow!(...));`

I haven't yet added a default binding for the new command. #27797 added `:ls` and
`:buffers` which in my opinion should use the global searchable version
given that that matches the vim semantics of those commands better than
just showing the tabs in the local pane.
There's also a question of what to do when you select a tab from another
pane, should the focus jump to that pane or should that tab move to the
currently focused pane? For now I've implemented the former.

to enable and disable editor data between file reopens in the same pane:

Currently, the project entry IDs seem to be stable across file reopens,
unlike BufferIds, so those were used.
Originally, the DB data was considered over in-memory one as editors
serialize their state anyway, but managing and exposing PaneIds out of

Before this change each editor individually observed the project, so
literally any project change was amplified by the number of editors you
had open.
Now editors listen to their buffers instead of the project, and other
users of `cx.observe` on the project have been updated to use specific
events to reduce churn.

When saving an item, some logic is done to determine whether one can
save it. In the special case where the intent is to `SaveAs`, it was
previously allowed to proceed as long as the buffer was a singleton
(presumably since it only makes sense to provide a save path for a
single file). However, we need to _also_ check that this item can be
"saved as" at all.
For this, we resurrect the `ItemHandle`/`Item` trait method
`can_save_as`. We have given it the default implementation of returning
`false`, and then overridden this in the implementation for
`TerminalView`.

Before this change we would skip saving multibuffers regardless of the
save intent. Now we correctly save them.
Along the way:
* Prompt to save when closing the last singleton copy of an item (even
if it's still open in a multibuffer).
* Update our file name prompt to pull out dirty project items from
multibuffers instead of counting multibuffers as untitled files.
* Fix our prompt test helpers to require passing the button name instead
of the index. A few tests were passing invalid responses to save
prompts.
* Refactor the code a bit to hopefully clarify it for the next bug.

(with warnings) after eliminating the key types. When the tasks below
are complete, this will be the new narrative for GPUI:
- `Entity<T>` - This replaces `View<T>`/`Model<T>`. It represents a unit
of state, and if `T` implements `Render`, then `Entity<T>` implements
`Element`.
- `&mut App` This replaces `AppContext` and represents the app.
- `&mut Context<T>` This replaces `ModelContext` and derefs to `App`. It
is provided by the framework when updating an entity.
- `&mut Window` Broken out of `&mut WindowContext` which no longer
exists. Every method that once took `&mut WindowContext` now takes `&mut
Window, &mut App` and every method that took `&mut ViewContext<T>` now
takes `&mut Window, &mut Context<T>`

This PR is an alternate version of
https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/pull/22850, but now using a
similar approach to the existing `tab_content` and `tab_content_text`,
where `tab_tooltip_content` refers to the existing `tab_tooltip_text` if
there's no custom tooltip content/trait defined, meaning it will
simplify render the text/string content in this case.
This is all motivated by
https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/pull/21955, as we want to pull off
the ability to add custom content to a terminal tab tooltip.

`View<ContextEditor>` is leased during the call into
`NavHistory::for_each_entry`, which then tries to read it again through
the `ItemHandle` interface. Fix it by skipping entries that can't be

After discussing about this feature with the team, we've decided that
diagnostic display in tabs should be: 1) turned off by default, and 2)
only shown when there are file icons. The main reason here being to keep
Zed's UI uncluttered.
This means that you can technically have this setting:

Applies the same splitting mechanism, as Zed's central pane has, to the
terminal panel.
Similar navigation, splitting and (de)serialization capabilities are
supported.
Notable caveats:
* zooming keeps the terminal splits' ratio, rather expanding the
terminal pane
* on macOs, central panel is split with `cmd-k up/down/etc.` but `cmd-k`
is a "standard" terminal clearing keybinding on macOS, so terminal panel
splitting is done via `ctrl-k up/down/etc.`
* task terminals are "split" into regular terminals, and also not
persisted (same as currently in the terminal)
Seems ok for the initial version, we can revisit and polish things
later.

This fixes a weird bug:
1. Use `/workflow` in assistant
2. Have it generate a step that modifies a file
3. Either (a) select the step in the assistant and have it auto-insert
newlines (b) select "Transform" to have the step applied
4. Close the modified file in the editor ("Discard")
5. Re-open the file
6. BUG: the changes made by assistant are still there!
The reason for the bug is that the assistant keeps references to buffers
and they're not closed/reloaded when closed/reopened.
To fix the bug we now rollback the applied workflow steps when
discarding a buffer.
(This does *not* yet fix the issue where a workflow step inserts a new
buffer into the project/worktree that does not show up on the file
system yet but in `/file` and hangs around until Zed is closed.)

This commit modifies the behavior of inline transformations to only
accept finished transformations when the user manually saves the file.
Previously, transformations were automatically accepted on any save
event, including autosaves.
This was achieved by updating the `Pane` and `Workspace` structs to emit
a new `UserSavedItem` event when a manual save occurs, and modifying the
`InlineAssistant` to register and handle this new event (instead of
`editor::Saved`).

This PR opens workflow step editors as preview tabs and closes them upon
exiting the step if they are still in preview mode and they weren't
already open before entering the step.
Making this work was tricky, because we often edit the buffer as part of
displaying the workflow step suggestions to create empty lines where we
can generate. We undo these edits if the transformation is not applied,
but they were causing the preview to be dismissed.
After trying a few approaches, I decided to give workspace `Item`s a
`preserve_preview` method that defaults to false. When the workspace
sees an edit event for the item, it checks if the item wants to preserve
its preview. For buffers, after editing, you can call `refresh_preview`,
which sets a preview version to the current version of the buffer. Any
edits after this version will cause preview to not be preserved.
One final issue is with async auto-indent. To ensure these async edits
don't dismiss the preview, I automatically refresh the preview version
if preview was preserved prior to performing the auto-indent. The
assumption is that these are edits created by other edits, and if we
didn't want to dismiss the preview with the originating edits, then the
auto-indent edits shouldn't dismiss it either.
